Health Mission Nigeria

When I was invited to join a most unselfish team of volunteers on a mission of mercy to Nigeria hundreds of families travelled great distances to receive much needed health care. Overwhelmed by the enormous suffering caused by what I was accustomed to as very curable illness and disease I assisted the volunteers who worked long hours in the unbearable heat and humidity of summer, in a medical facility with no running water or electricity. This harsh land of routine violence, cruelty and danger would offer us an opportunity to discover hope amidst a living hell. It is my great pleasure to share the beauty I discovered in the faces and souls of the young girls of Nigeria.
